Today's Throwback Thursday movie is Hiding out. It is about a very successful stock broker, named Andrew Morenski is forced to be on the run after he is called to court to testify against a mod boss. At first he is hidden to avoid death threats, but then he later runs off to his cousins house, and changed his identity to start attending school with his cousin.

The Runaways
The movie is based on a True Story about a band named "The Runaways." Record producer Kevin Fowley is it a club where he finds Joan Jett, and they start talking about forming an all-girl punk band. Joan is a guitarist, so Kim pairs her with Sandy West, who is a drummer. They then go on to look for a face to the band, someone that can sing. They then go on to recruit Cherrie Currie, because they like her look, and she can also sing. Fowley books a tour, signs them to Mercury Records, and packs them off to crowds in Japan. But then, the movie takes a big turn after jealousy arises. Check out the trailer.

Shutter Island

After I watched the movie Shutter Island, my mind was blown. The ending is very unexpected, and it gives you a lot to think about. It is about a U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island. But the movie goes so much deeper into that. I don't really want to give anything away, but it takes a lot of twists and turns which are unexpected. If you haven't seen this movie I would highly recommend it. I'd give it 4.5/5 stars.

Throwback Movie of the Day

Today's throwback movie of the day goes to Dream a Little Dream. It is about a boy named Bobby Keller who has a best friend and a girlfriend. But he's not happy with his life. His parents don't notice him, he's failing in school, and he has a crush. He feels his life is pointless. Then, one night, everything changes when Bobby collides with his dream girl Lainie in his elderly neighbors' yard. Now, Coleman, his elderly neighbor, is trapped in Bobby's body, and his wife Geena is trapped in Lainie's body. In Coleman's dreams, Bobby advises him on how to act and that he isn't willing to go back, unless Coleman can fix his screwed-up life. There was also a sequel to this movie which I plan to watch soon. View the trailer below.
